At Get Empowered, we believe every person—child, teen, or adult—deserves the opportunity to grow, to shine, and to feel seen. Since day one, our mission has been clear: harness the power of multicultural arts, education, and wellness to ignite possibility and purpose in every community we touch.
Today, our impact spans over 18+ cities across the U.S.—and internationally in; Brazil, Europe, the Caribbean and Canada. No partner is turned away due to financial limitations. Instead, we work creatively and collaboratively to make our programs accessible, drawing on grants, foundation support, fundraising efforts, and corporate sponsorships and a in-kind donations. To date, since 2016 Get Empowered! has provided over [$240,000.00] in free and reduced-cost programming and materials provisions to schools, youth camps, homeless shelters, hospitals, charities and other community partners—another way that we ensure empowerment is never out of reach.

It was an impactful experience for our students to learn with Guinean drummers Kosi and Kwesi. As culture bearers they gave our students the opportunity to participate in authentic call and response African drumming.
